Welcome to the Derrel Thomas Foundation

You have chosen to learn more about our wonderful mentorship program, and we are confident that a few minutes browsing through the pages will enlighten you about the unique and exciting program we offer.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Twelve years ago Derrel Thomas pioneered a new trail in the lives of those who walk the path of our future; our children. He sets the standard of excellence in both academics and education as the primary goal.

Today, The Derrel Thomas Foundation has established a highly qualified, caring, and stable program which seeks to address the needs of our challenged youth, recognizing their special qualities and tapping into their varied interests and talents. We believe in providing an encouraging program that prepares our children academically and nurtures them in such a positive way, that their paths are bound for greatness. With this strong foundation, the program allocates precious time to provide the additional focus on positive character development, good sportsmanship, academics, and leadership in our effort to educate the hearts and minds. We invite you to take a tour of the website. We hope you take the steps of joining us in support of our children with the gift of encouragement today; it will be the best investment of your life.

Our mission at the Derrel Thomas Foundation is to positively impact lives, by inspiring individuals to set and achieve the highest standard of goals. We bring guidance through the powerful tools of education, information, and good sportsmanship. We encourage character development of our youth through dedication, hard work, and team effort. We commit ourselves to the highest measure of our greatest investment, our youth, our future.
